Kamal Cotton to set up cotton yarn unit in Burhanpur

Kamal Cotton Spinning Pvt Ltd, a Delhi-based company plans to establish cotton yarn production facility in the textile town of Burhanpur (west Madhya Pradesh).
With the investment of Rs51 crore in fine cotton manufacturing and cotton processing, the firm would start units having 31200 spindles to produce 4250 metric tons of fine cotton and 6000 metres of processed cotton yarn a year, informed sources near to the company.
The manufactured fine cotton and processed cotton will be supplied to Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Further, the company has requested government not to impose commercial tax, entry tax and mandi tax on purchase of raw material, interest subsidies of 10 percent and flexible labour laws similar to those offered to companies in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Indore, the source said.
The biggest ever cotton yarn producing and processing company in Burhanpur will generate 700 direct jobs.
