A press release from the organiser, Messe Frankfurt informed that in addition to regular buyers, exhibitors also benefited from the flow of visitors to Texworld and made interesting contacts.
“The event offered a range of varied, quality products to meet the expectations of customers still looking for relevant products and new solutions,” Michael Scherpe, CEO of Messe Frankfurt France said.
Avi Menda, marketing director of Remar, a Turkish maker of mid-range mixed jeans said, “We are very happy with this event and have received many orders from regular customers and sample requests from new customers.”
Regular fashion shows also took place during the four day-event and the creations of the Frankfurt Style Award finalists made a huge impression, wowing visitors with their boldness and eclecticism.
Over a dozen silhouettes inspired by the theme ‘United Diversity: Uniform, Unisex, Unicult’ showcased the creativity and skills of the finalists.
It showcased young designers graduating from various universities and international fashion schools.
Dominique Deroche highlighted the development of a new centre of excellence in Frankfurt and the benefits for designers - enhanced visibility with the media and professionals.
The Fashion by Tunisia show brought together the fashion industry and eight companies which demonstrated their skill in knits, unstructured garments, denim and seamless pieces.
International designers Ahmed Talfit and Ali Karoui closed the show by a showing a collection titled ‘Spirit of Couture’ for the international market.
Fashion by Tunisia demonstrated the capacity and creativity of this sector, which is the country’s second largest industry. (AR)
