"With the RFID magicmirror, retailers now have a unique opportunity to connect personally with their customers who have become more perceptive about the products and services they buy," added Robins. "Consumers are becoming increasingly savvy - they're accustomed to using technology in their daily lives, especially when shopping for items. To communicate with them in their digital language and engage them, the industry must find relevant, innovative technology that helps tell a brand story better. The magicmirror solution does that and is poised to become a huge driver of item-level RFID adoption as consumers are encouraged to interact with the positive features and experience the significant benefits RFID brings."

At the "RFID in Apparel & Footwear" session, Paxar's Director of RFID Global Program Development, Rick Bauer, will join other industry executives from Avery Dennison and Vue Technology to further weigh-in on the deployment of RFID at the supply chain and store levels - highlighting the ongoing success of retail leaders such as Marks & Spencer.

How RFID solutions like the magicmirror will impact the future is clear: They hold the power to enhance the often elusive and expensive customer service sought by so many retailers. When employed in the fitting room environment, magicmirror transforms this often forgotten back-space into a key decision and service area. And when combined with store operations and eCommerce processes it can ensure a seamless shopping experience in-store and online. magicmirror takes service delivery to a whole new level -- helping retailers to efficiently and cost-effectively meet their customers' needs.

This year's Three Great Events--Material World, Technology Solutions and SPESA Expo--will bring together machinery and equipment, fabric/findings, sourcing and information technology -- all under one roof. The triennial gathering is expected to see more than 10,000 members of the apparel industry, including over 500 exhibiting companies.
