Fred Meyers, President and Founder of the Queensboro Shirt Company was honored with the AT&T Pioneers Award for community service.
The AT&T Pioneers are the largest group of corporate volunteers in the United States, with over 250,000 members divided into regional chapters.
When approached in mid-2007 by the Pioneers to help with one of their projects in an inner-city Chicago area school, Fred responded by donating hundreds of custom printed t-shirts - one for each student involved.
This past fall, Queensboro also made a similar donation to an inner-city Atlanta middle school adopting school uniforms for the first time on a limited budget.
Since its founding in 1982, Queensboro has fostered group and community identity for individuals, small businesses and organizations by offering the highest quality custom embroidered and printed apparel at extremely affordable prices with a four piece minimum order.
Queensboro's industry-unique Unconditional Ten Year Guarantee backs everything the company sells. For 25 years, Queensboro has also been assisting community organizations throughout the United States with various donations of products, embroidery and printing services.
