In tandem, Fanya Chandler has been appointed as the president of Nordstrom stores to guide the strategy and execution of Nordstrom’s storefront operations.
Lionello, a stalwart with 35 years at Nordstrom, including 11 years dedicated to the Nordstrom Rack business, is set to focus on delivering great brands at competitive prices and broadening the Rack's market presence. Her most recent role was the senior vice president and regional manager of the Northeast region. Lionello will report to Pete Nordstrom as part of the executive team.
Jamie Nordstrom will take over from Teri Bariquit, who retired earlier this year, continuing to be an integral part of the executive team under the direction of Pete Nordstrom, the president and chief brand officer.
With a rich history spanning nearly 32 years at the company, having served most recently as the senior vice president and regional manager of the Southwest region, Chandler brings a wealth of experience to her new role. She will be joining the company’s executive team, reporting directly to Pete Nordstrom.
"Gemma understands the core of our Rack offering: how we deliver exceptional customer service while offering customers the very best products at a terrific price. Her depth of experience leading teams within our stores and merchandising organizations will be critical as we build on the positive momentum we've seen in our Rack business and continue to execute on our strategy," said Erik Nordstrom, chief executive officer of Nordstrom.
"Our merchandising organisation is the backbone of Nordstrom, and our teams are exceptional at providing best-in-class service and a relevant, inspiring product offering for our customers," said Pete Nordstrom. " We're confident Jamie's proven track record and experience will bring us even closer to our customers as he leads our merchandising organization into the future."
