The position of Technology & Production Development Project Director is new and belongs to the Division of the same name, which is responsible for all events for the building-services technology, investment goods and safety & security technology organised by Messe Frankfurt. The restructuring and expansion of the division in terms of personnel is part of Messe Frankfurt’s strategy aimed at expanding the company’s technical fairs into all relevant markets.
“Messe Frankfurt is already in a very good position with the Technology & Production Division and we consider that it has a significant growth potential both nationally and internationally”, says Wolfgang Marzin, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Messe Frankfurt.
"Kerstin Horaczek has worked for the Messe Frankfurt Group in various positions since 2001. A graduate in business management, she has many years of experience in the field of business development and is extremely well networked in the international trade-fair sector. Previously, she worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Investment Management departments of Messe Frankfurt for several years.
One of the first areas on which Kerstin Horaczek will concentrate is that of environment, recycling and energy. On the one hand, Messe Frankfurt already has great experience in this field because it is an important aspect of most events, such as ISH and Light+Building. On the other hand, Messe Frankfurt is already active in this field in Canada (Canadian Waste & Recycling Expo), Hong Kong (Eco Expo Asia) and China (Water Expo China).
