As far as multilateral trade is concerned, Shri Kamal Nath stated that India has been actively protecting its trade interests and seeking to open the markets of developed countries through the WTO.

India- Myanmar-Thailand trilateral highway and Delhi-Hanoi railway are projects which will bring long-term economic benefits. He further said that India has taken its bilateral relationship with Japan with the involvement of Japanese agencies in building the Delhi Mumbai industrial corridor.
