Country aims to enhance bi-lateral trade with India

Both India and Malaysia have been enjoying a healthy trade relationship for the past few years. To further improve the exports both countries will be signing the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) by March 2009. A two day conference is taking place in Kuala Lumpur in this regard.

The delegates of both the countries are discussing about the bi-lateral pact which will include goods and services, investment and economic cooperation.

The symposium aims to boost Malaysian export earnings by reaching as high as US $12 billion by 2012.

India comes among the first 10 trading partners of Malaysia. The first round of meeting will get over tomorrow and next round is expected to held during April 10 to 12 in New Delhi.
