ATPF, wraps up today in Hanoi

The 21st ASEAN Trade Promotion Forum (ATPF), under the title 'Challenges to trade promotion organizations (TPOs): Serving the business community more professionally and effectively', is concluding today in Hanoi.

The objective of ATPF is to improve trade in the region through exchange of information, implementing the projects and build strong networks among all the members of the forum.

Vietnam is hosting the event for the first time, and has managed to bring together 18 members of ATPF for sharing their experiences with other participants. This will help in strenghtening TPOs, and improve the networking system within nations.

The deliegation of Vietnam is headed by the Director of Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade). During the two day meet countries like Japan, Australia, Philippines, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, New Zealand and the Republic of Korea discussed about the challenges nations are facing and ways to overcome them.

ATPF members also focused on understanding the needs of TPO customers and how to serve the enterprises effectively. The 22nd ATFP will be hosted by China in 2009 with lot more participation and exchange of ideas by forum members.
