In the first quarter of the running year, enterprises based in Khanh Hoa Province, located in South Central coast, earned US $121.3 million from exports, with key commodities like textile and garment, handicraft products.
All of these products witnessed strong growth in the period from January to March, with an average rise of 22.6 percent in comparison to similar period previous year.
On the other hand, the province also expended an amount of $60.9 million for importing equipments and raw materials for the local production, with major products being cotton and fibre, apparel accessories.
However, experts think that the county needs to be self sufficient to meet its export target and organizations like VITAS and VINATEX are working towards it.
