Museum for footwear to display unique relics

The first ever science and technology museum for shoes has been set up by the Red Dragonfly Group which is reputed for being one of the largest shoes manufacturers in China.

Starting from April 22, 2008, the company formally started collecting rare articles, information and materials related to footwear from across the country.

Located at the production base of the research and development center of sports leather shoes of Red Dragonfly Group, the science and technology museum for footwear covers an area of 1,500 square meters and will be made open to the public by the end of 2009.

So far, about 300 pieces of rare picture and material objects have been gathered for showcasing at the museum which will essentially show the evolution of shoes products, footwear making tools and materials.

This apart, a variety of functional and high-tech shoes will be put up for display along with dissemination of significant information for the visitors giving them a complete idea about the history and development trend of the footwear manufacturing industry.
