Last week, Vice Minister of China Commercial Department, Mr Gao Huchen visited Hong Kong to promote the upcoming 104 China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair).
This fair is scheduled to be held over three 5-day phases starting October 15, 2008.
Hong Kong has been one of the key clients at this event with an average of 30,000 buyers each year, accounting for 15 percent of total consumers from around 210 countries.
Besides, Mr Huchen assured that since export oriented industries, especially textile and clothing, were facing major problems, Chinese Government would research and perfect the related foreign trade policies in order to boost healthy and stable development of trade relations.
