On August 5, almost 1000 workers of Tung Mung Textile Company, one of the largest manufacturer of sport wear for export, went on strike. The labourers called for the strike due to monthly cut off in the allowance given to them.
Tung Mung Textile Company, a taiwanese enterprise, located in Tan Thuan EPZ, is the first EPZ in Vietnam with excellent infrastructure and experienced management.
Despite of all possible efforts undertaken by local Government to convince the leaders of the company, the strike is continuing. The problem remains unsolved as officials of the Tung Mung Textile Company and its workers fail to see an eye to eye.
