Three MoUs signed with technical centre's of Tunisia

During the 6th meeting of the Moroccan-Tunisian Joint Technical Commission on September 12, three memoranda of understanding (MoU) on cooperation was inked between Moroccan and Tunisian technical centers.

The memoranda essentially aimed at strengthening partnership between technical centers and coordinating actions within the framework of regional or international programs, especially for the European research and innovation programs. It was signed by Mr Ahmed Réda Chami, Moroccan Minister of Industry, Trade and new technologies and Mr Afif Chelbi, Tunisian Minister of Industry, Energy and Small and Medium-sized Businesses.

The first memorandum mainly concerns cooperation between the technical centers of food processing industries, while the second provides for cooperation between the technical centre of engineering industries in Tunisia and the center of studies and research on mineral, engineering, electrical and electronic industries in Morocco. The third provides for cooperation between Tunisian technical textile centre and Moroccan technical centre of clothing.

Both the countries have agreed to strengthen cooperation between specialized technical centers of both the nations and explore possibilities of creating a fund for research and development and innovation projects, in coordination with industrial technical centers of both the countries.
