After a statistical analysis of economic data of 2008 and the first two months of 2009, economists have drawn a conclusion that China's total foreign trade in 2009 will show a significant dip in total import and export value.
The 2009 annual foreign trade, according to the economists is projected to plunge by an overwhelming 20 percent, when corresponded with figures of 2008, but add that the silver lining is that trade balance will stay positive.
From amongst foreign trade, total imports may decline by 25 percent, while the fall in exports is expected to be somewhere around 17 percent, which they say portends a grim and depressing period in the next few months.
