NRF asks Obama to reconsider new ban on registered lobbyists serving on committees

The ban applies only to lobbyists registered under the federal Lobbying Disclosure Act, and Autor said some trade association executives who don't lobby enough to be required to register may simply end their registration in order to remain on the committees. He said that would discourage transparency about lobbying activities while punishing those who register.
