Mr Nithavrianakis meets TEA President

Mr. Mike Nithavrianakis, British Deputy High Commissioner of Southern India visited Tirupur, the 4th March 2010, and had a discussion meeting with Shri.A. Sakthivel, President and a few exporters at Tirupur Exporters Association.

The objective of his visit was to explore the business possibilities of UK Companies making joint venture with Tirupur exporting units and he also informed that the opportunities are available for UK companies to invest in Tirupur and likewise Tirupur exporting units could also make investment in UK.

Mr. Mike Nithavrianakis appreciated the efforts of Tirupur for having achieved a significant mark in India's Apparel Exports.The total exports, both Woven & Knitted garments to UK from India is about Rs.4800 crore which is almost 10% of total apparel exports from India.
