General Administration of Customs released China's foreign trade report of imports and exports in the first half of this year.
China's overall import and export value registered US $1.354 trillion from January to June, an increase of 43.1 percent compared with the same period last year.
Of which, exports fetched $705.09 billion, up 35.2 percent; imports scored $649.79 billion, up 52.7 percent; trade surplus realized US $55.3 billion, down 42.5 percent.
China's import and export value reached $254.77 billion in June, up 39.2 percent. Of which, exports represented $137.4 billion, up 43.9 percent and imports marked $117.37 billion, up 34.1 percent.
Customs statistics showed that China's export value and import and export value in June touched a historical record, last seen in July 2008.
On month-on-month comparison, June import and export value increased by 4.4 percent from May; of which, exports gained 4.3 percent, and imports rose 4.6 percent.
