Shopee to launch premium online marketplace in 5 nations

Singaporean online marketplace Shopee is planning to launch a premium shopping platform for consumers in Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. It will host top brands like Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and L’Occitane, and aims to help brands enhance customers’ online shopping experience by using its customer insight and brand tools.
To engage and attract consumers, Shopee Premium will feature special ‘brand spotlights’ to showcase certain brands along with articles and videos, according to retail news websites from Southeast Asia.
The brands will also be allowed to carry video tutorials and reviews. Shoppers can gain access to exclusive brand content and collaborations during the site’s Grand Launch live streams, scheduled from October 4 to 10.
