International Summer 2007 collections will feature 66th edition of the Expo Riva Schuh, one of the leading footwear exhibitions worldwide, programmed during June 10-13, 2006 in Riva del Garda, in Trentino.
India will be focus country this year: various events will celebrate this Asian country, considered a current giant in the shoes production, worldwide.
The Italian business climate in the first eleven months of 2005 (Anci data) witnessed a positive balance of 3 billion Euros, but a decrease in exports by 11.5 percent in quantity and 1.78 percent in value terms.
Totally, 231 million pairs of shoes have been sold outside Italy, recording a decrease of 30 million in comparison with 2004 and with a total value of 5685 million Euros.
At the same time, import increased by about 6.1 percent and 13.5 percent, which means 307 million pairs, over 17 million more than last year, for a value of 2649 million euros.
Once again China is on the front row, their exports to Italy having grown by 27 percent, reaching 153 million pairs. The trade balance, however, shows a positive balance of 3035 million Euro, gained 30 percent compared to 2004.
Present at 66th edition of Expo Riva Schuh – of which a good third Italian and the rest coming from no less than 35 nations – to present the lines, colours and trends of the models that will be for sale next year.
It's not about high fashion collections, but about footwear that can be purchased in the shops around the corner. Spread over the stands – covering a surface of 31,000 net square meters – will be approximately 80 percent of the European production of medium-to-low priced footwear (maximum retail sales price 100 Euro/pair), with an ever higher incidence of East-Asian producers.
