Leah Perez returns as fashion head of Shenkar College

Leah Perez, wife of Ambassador to Columbia, Yair Recanati, has re-accepted the position of Head of Fashion Department at the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in the city of Ramat Gan.
She spent three years with her husband in Columbia when she received an invitation from the first lady Lina Morena de Uribe to promote Columbian fashion.
Perez explained her plans to introduce program on Latin American culture to increase awareness about traditions that existed thousands of year ago, where fabulous fabrics are available.
As for her views on today's dressing style, she wishes that people sport clothes that show respect not only for themselves but also for their surroundings. She believes that one's wear should compliment her or his age.
She also talked about the talented designers she had acquainted who showcased there cultural handicraft creations.
Leah further stated that Shenkar offers art and other courses alongwith fashion designing. She says that in Columbia those who acquired education in the US and the UK were more successful which goes to prove that knowledge of broader subjects is essential.
