Delpozo had already offered a sneak preview at the end of some of its catwalk shows and at its flagship at 19, Lagasca. Now, it has finally unveiled the key to and inspiration behind its new bridalwear line.
Back in June, Ainhoa García had already divulged to Fashionfromspain that Delpozo would be appearing “on the international circuit with an utterly feminine annual collection”.
Josep Font has taken an individual approach to his reinterpretation of the Delpozo universe. The collections range from the flowing, carefree lines of one-piece gowns to the structured volume of two-piece outfits.
Consistent with the silhouettes which define the brand’s collections, a slightly lengthened rise sets off the bride’s waist to effect. Rounded and sweetheart necklines gracefully co-exist with strapless designs. Detail is rich and varied, and includes embroidery and appliqué, adding texture to the natural monochrome favoured or this collection.
Delpozo recently signed a deal to enter US department store Barneys NY with its Spring/Summer 2014 collection, and is now putting the finishing touches to the opening of its own brand shop in Miami Design District.
