TK Maxx, a top fashion retailer is setting up store in Douglas beginning of June, creating job opportunities for 50 people.
Spokesman Anne Tyrer said the new Isle of Man store will introduce unique off-price concept to more people.
It will have around 26,000 square feet of designer products with almost 50,000 items for womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, homeware and gifts.
Chamber of Commerce Retail Committee member John Horsthuis believes that TK Maxx's opening a retail store in the Island and setting up consultive committee to look at retail infrastructure in town centres, will be encouraging for retail industry.
