The German designer Markus Lupfer has joined fashion house Armand Basi as the person responsible for the design of its women's collection.
The 35-year-old, Markus Lupfer, presented his first collection in 1998. A regular presence at London Fashion Week with his own brand, this young designer is internationally acclaimed because of his experimental use of colour and patterns, his exceptional treatment of knitwear and his sophisticated use of leather. His care, down to the last detail, and his innovative use of fabrics have captured the attention of brands such as Kangol, Cacharel, TopShop, TopMan, Rufo and Carton Network, with whom Markus has worked.
With this new member, Armand Basi's creative team is made up of the following: Lluís Juste de Nin, the brand's creative manager; Josep Abril, designer of the men's collection; and Markus Lupfer, designer of the women's collection.
Markus Lupfer's first collection for Armand Basi woman will be presented at the Barcelona fashion show next July. That is when we will meet the creations of the brand's new signing in clothing and accessories for spring-summer '07.
