OrotonGroup appoints Mr. John P Schmoll as Non Executive Director

OrotonGroup Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. John P Schmoll as an Independent Non Executive Director of its Board of Directors, effective 30 November 2005. In addition to his Board duties John also will assume the role as Chairman of the Audit Committee.
John brings to the Board a wealth of senior management and executive experience gained during a successful career in which he was most recently Chief Financial Officer of Coles Myer Ltd; earlier he served in a variety of roles in Finance with the Edgars
Group in South Africa.
John is currently a Non Executive Director of Housewares International Limited, AWB Ltd and Golden Circle Ltd. In addition to his directorships John is also the principal of John Schmoll and Associates specialising in corporate advisory and executive support services.
John's extensive background gained from the retail and distribution sectors, together with a combination of his depth of knowledge in capital management, strategic planning, IT services and debt markets, will undoubtedly make a significant contribution to OrotonGroup Limited.
John replaces as a director, Mr. Michael Day OAM, who announced his retirement from OrotonGroup Ltd prior to this year's Annual General Meeting. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Michael for his valuable contribution and service to both the board and the company over the last six years. We wish him well in his retirement.
OrotonGroup's brands include Oroton, Morrissey and Marcs, and the Australian licences for US label Polo Ralph Lauren and Canadian footwear brand Aldo.
