Sue Fritz of JMIC honored at Women's Jewelry Association

Sue Fritz of Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company was honored recently by the Women's Jewelry Association (WJA) Midwest Chapter.
At the association's 2006 Membership Celebration ceremony at the Cliff Dwellers Club in Chicago, Fritz received the Woman Making a Difference award. This annual award recognizes a WJA Midwest member who makes an impact through her career, her commitment to volunteerism, and her success in her sector of the jewelry industry.
A senior marketing communications specialist in Jewelers Mutual's Sales & Marketing Department, Fritz has been “translating jewelry insurance and security into useful, understandable, and occasionally entertaining information for jewelers and jewelry owners for the past 12 years,” she said.
She has been a member of the WJA since 1998, was president of the Midwest Chapter in 2004-05, and currently serves as immediate past president. She is establishing a Twin Cities Chapter to serve Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Fritz is active in the jewelry industry, also serving on the Wisconsin Jewelers Association board and the Midwest Jewelry Expo show committee.
Michelin Lentino, the WJA Midwest treasurer and awards chair, presented the award to Ms. Fritz, saying “Our group has been blessed with the leadership of this [past] chapter president and board member. Not only did she drive from Wisconsin [to Chicago] to spearhead our meetings, she did so with ever-present smile on her face.”
