JA Apparel launches expansion of lifestyle brand

JA Apparel Corp. announced the Company has signed a series of licensing agreements that have expanded both the geographic reach of the Joseph Abboud lifestyle brand and its core product selection as the Company continues to benefit from its revitalized brand and strong business momentum.

Marty Staff, President and Chief Executive Officer of JA Apparel, said the Company has signed 10 licensing agreements with premier manufacturers, suppliers and distributors in recent weeks, with more deals currently in the pipeline.

The agreements expand the geographic reach of the Joseph Abboud business from 3 to 33 countries, with further expansion planned. Joseph Abboud products will now be sold for the first time in Mexico and the Caribbean. By the end of the year, the brand will be in 45 to 50 countries, including India, Korea, and China, and in countries in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

We will offer a wide variety of new premium products in both the Joseph Abboud and JOE Joseph Abboud brands, including footwear, eyewear, formalwear and cufflinks.

In particular, the JOE Joseph Abboud brand for younger men will have a series of new products based on strong initial sales success of the line. And Joseph Abboud Boys, which has been an instant success in its first year, will get a new line of belts. Both newly-launched lines are generating weekly 8 to 12 percent sell-through rates this fall.
