B Vijaykumar & Co enters retail sector with Hoop jewellery

One of the largest exporters of diamonds and finished jewellery in India - B Vijaykumar & Co is entering the retail market with its branded jewellery called HOOP.
This jewellery is a daily fashion accessory, which will target urban, educated men and women in 21-30 years age group.
Hoop collection includes jewellery high on designs, contemporary and internationally styled, which are available in options of silver, titanium and leather with diamonds and colour stones in addition to categories like nose rings, navel rings, waistbands and anklets.
Planning to have 15 stand-alone stores in over 10 cities with at least 50 to 75 Shop-in-Shops in major retailers by March 2007, Hoop is already operating stand-alone stores in established retail markets like South Extension and Greater Kailash 1 in New Delhi as well as Linking road, Bandra, Kemp's corner and at Infinity Mall, Andheri in Mumbai.
Parent company B Vijaykumar & Co is a DTC site holder and has been in the diamond business for 23 years.
