Menswear label bags AFEA award by showcasing A/W 07 range

AFEA winner Subfusco by Joshua Roberto Scacheri took out the grand award for the category designer 2 years and under last week at the Australian fashion enterprise awards hosted in Sydney at the four seasons hotel.
The menswear label which is penetrating the national market with hype took out the award by show casing pieces from its AW07 range inspired by the French word “aperitif”.
An opportunity to visit Singapore Fashion Week next year is among the prizes secured by Subfusco which will be an experience to meet important people from the Asian market.
“I was really happy being one of the state finalists but when I took out the major award I was totally blown away”
“Subfusco has been progressing well down south, with its European feel and classical but edgy range, this award will help also with exposure and creditability”
Scacheri said that the awards where different from most other awards, it was not just about the design aspect, but also the business and background aspects regarding the label”
"The classic with an edge range has been the most successful range since my launch in early 2005, I graduated only two months ago from my fashion studies and the label has taken some very big steps forward”
“All my long hours and sleepless nights have paid off after winner this award”
Applications were sought from established and new designers, fashion Businesses, students and educators for the inaugural AFEA with state and National awards in three main categories of design, business and training.
