Hair and beauty salon chain Jean Claude Biguine with head office in Paris is foraying into Indian market by 2007. One salon will be opened in Mumbai by next year and another in Delhi.
French company wants to open 50 salons in big cities by 2010, for which it will be investing Rs100 crores.
Dharmendra Marwani, Company CEO, said they will be targeting youth from MNCs and BPOs who spend on herbal and beauty solutions of global standards.
Company will also focus on women from households which have yearly income of over Rs5,00,000.
Company will set up four training academies in the country by 2008 for teaching current styling skills to its Indian staff, with every academy requiring an investment of Rs50 lakh.
Marwani further said Indian stylists appointed by company will get monthly remuneration of Rs35,000-Rs50,000 based on their experience, while some stylists will come to work from company's salons abroad.
He added that a customer will spend 200 times more than what he pays at a local expensive salon nowadays at a Jean Claude Biguine salon, with each salon having about 1,800-2,000 square feet area.
