Halleran and the North American team pared down their original list to a few key candidates and submitted the Iconic Sport garments to executives at Schoeller's international headquarters in Switzerland for final approval and determination. “When we know that Zoom is going to press, we think of those brands that will bring great exposure,” said Gary Meikle, National Sales Manager, for Schoeller USA.
“We're looking for partnerships of brands that represent our product well with fabrics that represent their needs well.” Iconic Sport joins in the Zoom Catalogue with other golf apparel items from various foreign markets. "This is the primary marketing tool for Schoeller," said Halleran. "So it's important to us to that it has a 12 month shelf-life for those who receive it."
Founded and designed by former NASA engineer and accomplished multi-sport athlete, Leslie Chow, Iconic Sport celebrates its first anniversary at the upcoming 2007 PGA Merchandise show. Targeted at upscale women golfers, with an emphasis on sophisticated style and golf performance enhancement, Iconic was born out of Chow's disenchantment with existing women's golf apparel.
