ARAIYA expands into designing uniforms; Intl & domestic clients

ARAIYA, one of India's hottest fashion design houses announced its expansion into designing uniforms for some of the biggest names in the hospitality business, both in India and abroad.
This initiative has been spearheaded by Arshiya Fakih-Eappen who manages the business and is ARAIYA's Director and Creative Head.
Arshiya has just returned from the Maldives, where she was invited to design uniforms for the staff of the exotic 6-star Resort and Spa – Naladhu, Maldives.
ARAIYA is also designing uniforms for the F-Bar and Lounge in Hyderabad. Earlier, the uniforms for the first F-Bar in Bangalore, was designed by Manoviraj Khosla.
The next in Delhi, which was designed by Tarun Tahiliani, and now Hyderabad is the third to be done by Araiya.
This is the first time that F-Bar has not used a local designer from the same state where the Bar in located. Arshiya is currently also in the process of entering into a long-term association, to design and produce uniforms for all other FTV projects such as their cafes, spas etc.
February 2007 will see Araiya designs on the bartenders, managers and other staff of “WHITE” – a trendy and up market lifestyle lounge-bar soon to be launched in South Mumbai.
Working on this project was a great exercise in aesthetics, as the white theme had to be incorporated in the uniforms to blend perfectly with the all white décor.
Over the last two years, ARAIYA has also designed and produced the uniforms for Ginger (a chain of the Taj Group of Resorts and Hotels, South India), and for the Managing Director's office of the Taj Mahal Hotel, Mumbai. In addition, the uniforms for Taxi Restaurant, Mumbai.
