House of Pearl to acquire international retail brand

Ready-to-wear apparel company, the House of Pearl Fashions, is planning to foray into the overseas market like UK and US with either a retail chain or an apparel brand.
The company is prepared to invest Rs40 crore to acquire the international retail chain, which is likely to be finalised by the end of 2007.
The House of Pearl Fashions is also trying to get hold of a premium international clothing brand to cater both the sexes.
The company plans to roll out its own fashionable stores named as 'Forever New', in Delhi, Chennai, Calcutta and Bombay by end-2007.
The company will import commodities from Bangladesh and China to sell them in India under its existing brands.
