During Paris Fashion Week, Colette, the famous Paris boutique, will hold an exhibition celebrating its 10th anniversary. 10 globally respected art-curators and journalists from all over the world are invited to contribute to the show.

One of ten walls is curated by Payam Sharifi, based in Russia, professor in London Royal College of Art, writing for Purple, Another Magazine, Art Review and others.

His wall is called SLAVS & TATARS, and is a contemporary reading of Eastern Europe, the Caucuses and Central Asia.

Payam Sharifi features works by several artists and photographers, including Denis Simachev, who is described by the organizers of the exhibition as an embodiment of an aphorism: “the past is becoming more unpredictable, than the future”.

DENIS SIMACH?V will present in Colette three T-shirts from men's autumn-winter 07/08 collection, shown at Milan Fashion Week. They are reflecting Denis' approach to fashion, who always use Russian folk-art and history in his design, adding them humour and irony so characteristic of him.

The first T-shirt is with a print “I ? ???” (??? from Russian -organized criminal gangs), the second is embroidered with the State Emblem of the USSR and the third is with a slogan “dude has said – dude has done”. These T-shirts are to be sold exclusively in the boutique during the exposition. The show closes on the 31st of March, 2007.
