The Walking Co opens second location in Santa Barbara

The Walking Company announced it has opened a second location in Santa Barbara, where the company has been headquartered since purchased by Big Dog Holdings, Inc in 2004.

At almost 1,400 square feet, the new location will feature the latest styles and designs from more than 40 premium comfort footwear brands such as ECCO, Mephisto and Dansko.

The Walking Company also offers a wide selection of comfort footwear from hard-to-find quality brands from around the world such as Pikolinos and Beautifeel. The store will offer a comprehensive selection for every walk of life, including dress shoes, sandals, clogs, boots and active.

Paseo Nuevo is one of the South Coast's most distinctive collection of unique, upscale merchants between Los Angeles and San Francisco. The center is located in the commercial and retail heart of downtown Santa Barbara, an international Mecca for those seeking luxurious surf, sun and shopping.

Visitors can stroll the sun-drenched promenade and the winding paseos surrounded by more than 60 boutiques, two department stores and many eclectic restaurants. Opened in 1990, the center is anchored by Nordstrom and Macy's. Presented in a charming open-air Mediterranean setting, Paseo Nuevo offers a mix of exclusive local and national shops and restaurants.

Mall hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.; Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.; and Sunday, 11:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
