CY Oriental Holding appoints Clarence Kwong as CFO

CY Oriental Holdings Ltd announced that Clarence Kwong, CA, has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
"We are pleased to welcome an individual with Clarence Kwong's extensive background to our Senior Management Team," said Ping Chen, Chairman and CEO of CY Oriental Holdings Ltd. "He has significant international experience with public companies from both internal managerial positions and external advisory and auditing roles. His appointment strengthens our Senior Management Team and addresses the increased demands on our financial and accounting functions as a publicly traded company."
Mr. Kwong is a Chartered Accountant with more than 31 years of accounting and finance experience, including roles with leading international accounting firms and with publicly listed companies in North America and Asia. Most recently, he was in charge of overseeing the statutory and regulatory reporting and compliance for AMB Property Canada Limited (a subsidiary of AMB Property Corporation, an SEC registrant) and the IAT Air Cargo Facilities Income Fund.
Mr. Kwong's prior experience also includes two tenures with Ernst & Young, LLP (the first as Audit Manager and the second as Manager, Assurance and Advisory Business Services). Mr. Kwong has also held managerial finance positions with several private companies and subsidiaries of public companies in both Hong Kong and Singapore after starting his career with PriceWaterhouse as an Audit Supervisor.
Aspart of Mr. Kwong's compensation, CY has granted to him an option to purchase 100,000 common shares exercisable at a price of $1.75 per share. The stock options are granted in accordance with CY's Stock Option Plan, and will have vesting provisions attached.
