New York based fashion retailer provider announced it has named industry veteran Janine Blain to head up its new West Coast operations. As part of this expansion, the Company plans to open an office in the Los Angeles market.
Blain has more than 20 years of fashion and merchandising expertise in the West Coast market from companies including Macy's West, Elie Tahari, Directives West, and C&C California. In her new role, Blain will work with The Doneger Group's clients to present a customized fashion point of view on West Coast lifestyle and market trends in the contemporary, junior, accessory, young men's, and surf/skate lifestyle markets.
"Company is thrilled to have attracted such a strong industry talent in Janine, who has had her pulse on the West Coast lifestyle and market trends and has followed the LA street scene for more than two decades," said Abbey Doneger, CEO of The Doneger Group. "This expansion is part of growth strategy to build the Company's premier global network of fashion and merchandising experts in the most influential markets that define and drive retail and merchandising decisions."
As part of The Doneger Group's strategy, the Company recently expanded its superior local market expertise in the European market, and hired fashion trend expert Amanda Hallay as its European Trend Analyst.
Last month The Doneger Group named former Seventeen Magazine Senior Market Editor Renee Roman as its Market Analyst for Contemporary Sportswear. Roman will work closely with Blain and her West Coast team.
