SpringBoost, the three-year-old Swiss performance athletic shoe company headquartered in the U.S. in Waltham, Mass., wants buyers at the WSA Show to understand how they can profit from the coming boom in Nordic Walking - the latest form of exercise walking.
A Nordic Walking expert, Sally Richards, will be on hand in the SpringBoost booth at WSA in Las Vegas, July 30 -Aug. 1 (booth no. 10249), to demonstrate the activity, provide tips on proper technique, and show how it is expected to appeal to the estimated 87.5 million Americans who walked for exercise in 2006 (according to the National Sporting Goods Association). Richards is the 2006 World Nordic Walking Champion and an inductee of the Colorado Sportswomen Hall of Fame.
WSA buyers will be able to try Nordic Walking at the SpringBoost booth using specially made poles and SpringBoost's dorsiflexion B-Walk Nordic performance athletic shoes.
One buyer per day during the course of the show will win a Nordic Walking starter kit consisting of a pair of SpringBoost B-Walk Nordic walking shoes, a pair of LEKI carbon and aluminum Nordic Walking poles, and an iPod to carry music to walk by.
“As a Swiss company, we see the potential of Nordic Walking everyday we go to work. In Europe there are Nordic Walking clubs, specialty magazines, people Nordic Walking in parks, and coverage on TV,” said Andrew Silvestri, SpringBoost CEO.
“We believe Nordic Walking is poised for explosive growthin the U.S.”
