Halston, the iconic American luxury brand, announced the appointment of Marco Zanini as Creative Director. Mr. Zanini will oversee all aspects of product design for Halston as well as the overall image of the brand and will report directly to Bonnie Takhar, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to joining Halston, Mr. Zanini was First Designer of Versace's women's wear, Ready to Wear and Haute Couture lines, where he worked closely alongside Donatella Versace in the development of the women's and men's wear collections.

He joined Versace from Dolce & Gabbana where he was First Assistant to Mr. Domenico Dolce on the women's Main Line. Mr. Zanini began his career at Lawrence Steele as First Assistant to Mr. Steele on all aspects of the design process through the idealization and refining of the product through the styling and preparations of the fashion shows.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome Marco to the Halston team,” said Bonnie Takhar. “Halston is a brand with a rich history, and it was important to us to find a designer who could capture its legendary past and reinvigorate its heritage in dynamic marketplace."

"Marco's creative vision, depth of design experience and deep knowledge of the luxury brand sector and high-end women's wear make him the ideal candidate to re-establish Halston among the leading luxury brands.”

“I am thrilled that Marco is joining the Halston team. His talent and creative vision will be invaluable in rejuvenating the Halston brand,” said Tamara Mellon, President and Founder of Jimmy Choo and a member of Halston's Board of Directors.
