Results of 23d International auction of special sized rough

On August 1, 2007 the 23th International Rough Diamond Auction organized by ALROSA together with the Diamond Chamber of Russia closed its work in Moscow.
Altogether 120 lots were sold for the total of USD 36 million.
For a month the lots had been available for preview on the premises of the Diamond Chamber of Russia.
The goods on sale were produced by ALROSA (86 lots) and OJSC ALROSA-Nuyrba (36 lots).
632 diamonds with an aggregate weight of over 11.4 thousand carats were auctioned, including 24 diamonds, each weighing over 50 carats. The largest of the auctioned diamonds weighed 274.37 carats.
61 Russian and foreign-based companies from Israel, Belgium, India, UAE, USA, Lebanon, Belarus specialized in operations with large-size rough and polished diamonds and having high business reputation participated in the auction as bidders.
