Leading fashion jewelry company Carolee, known for designs of quality, style and sophistication, has announced the opening of a Carolee retail store at Plaza Las Americas in San Juan, Puerto Rico on August 31.

The 1030 square foot space is the site of a previous Carolee store which was in operation from May, 2002 through August, 2006.

"We are very excited to be reopening at Plaza Las Americas," said Joel Fivis, President of Carolee. "It was one of our most successful retail venues and had developed a loyal clientele."

The company ceased operation of its 21 Carolee retail stores in 2006 to focus its attention on wholesale business with department and specialty stores.

The licensee for the new Carolee store is Lizzette Lugo Monagas, who also has successfully operated the Tesorini store in the mall for the past four years.

The new Carolee store will feature a full presentation of Carolee's upscale line, including bridal and social occasion jewelry, fashion trend jewelry, sterling silver and fresh water cultured pearls.

It will be a one stop shopping destination for quality jewelry for every occasion. The store also will carry a line of Carolee handbags.

"Licensing provides us with attractive opportunities to extend the Carolee brand," said Karen O'Brien, Worldwide Vice President, Marketing. "The new Plaza Las Americas store gives us a total environment to showcase our products."

The famed Plaza Las Americas mall, built in 1968 and expanded three times since, has over 2 million feet of retail floor space and is the largest shopping mall in the Caribbean.
