Danner Inc, a subsidiary of LaCrosse Footwear Inc, a leading provider of branded work and outdoor footwear for expert users, launches the "Expert Overhaul" sweepstakes at participating retailers on October 1, 2007.
The sweepstakes kicks off as the final touches on the restoration of a 1974 International Scout are made, rebuilt to Danner's "Expert" standards.
"The Scout is a classic American icon, similar to the tough, durable, authentic quality of Danner footwear that our customers so strongly appreciate and trust," said Erron Sorensen, vice president of marketing for Danner.
"Our customers and Scout enthusiasts were with us every step of the way to ensure we were recreating the real thing by participating and voting online at www.dannerscout.com. After a four-month frame-off rebuild, it's time to give the Danner Scout away to one very lucky winner."
The sweepstakes begins at nearly 1,000 participating retailers on October 1, 2007. Brochures containing unique entry codes can be obtained at participating retailers and online.
All entries must be received by the final sweepstakes date of December 31, 2007. Additional contest details, rules and participating retailers can also be found online. The winner will be selected at random January 15, 2008.
Danner's auto overhaul crew has successfully rebuilt the 1974 International Scout from the ground up. All restoration shop details and video were captured online in various sections of the Web site, including: rebuild information on the "Garage" page, the Overhaul Crew and Danner Experts on the "Experts" page, and International Scout history on "the Scout" page.
