Michael Vincent to assume VP/Treasurer role at Saks

Retailer Saks Incorporated announced that Michael Vincent will assume the position of Vice President and Treasurer of the Company on October 1, 2007.

Vincent joined Saks in February 2007 as Assistant Treasurer. Prior to joining the Company, he held key treasury and financial roles with a diverse group of companies.

From 2005 through January 2007, Vincent held the post of Corporate Treasurer at WHX Corp/Handy & Harman, the parent corporation of a group of materials engineering and specialty manufacturing companies, and from 2000 until 2005, he served as Vice President/Corporate Treasurer for the Health Insurance Plan of Greater New York.

He began his financial career at Citigroup. Vincent earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Vincent will be based in New York City and will report to Kevin Wills, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company.

Saks Incorporated currently operates Saks Fifth Avenue, which consists of 54 Saks Fifth Avenue stores, 49 Saks Off 5th stores, and saks.com. The Company also operates Club Libby Lu specialty stores.
