Montreal Fashion Week, in collaboration with P&G beauty, invites you to this major happening which, from October 9 to 11, will be bringing together the most influential fashion designers from here at home and elsewhere.
A true springboard for the dissemination of new fashion trends for spring and summer 2008, this 13th edition will be presented in an all-new and much larger venue at the heart of Old Montreal: the Bonsecours Market.
“The growing interest demonstrated by national and international designers, the press, and buyers, not to mention the significant media and economic spinoffs generated by previous editions, reflect the unabated growth of Montreal Fashion Week."
"The talent and know-how of our great designers here at home are showcased in a delightful program to be presented in larger premises!” notes Chantal Durivage, co-President and founder of Sensation Mode.
Quality programming!:
This edition will be the spotlight on the 2008 spring/summer collections of: Bërubë, Bijoux Caroline Néron, IRIS Collection, Envers by Yves Jean Lacasse, Foxy Jeans, Helmer, LABoratoire créatif, Love Deming, M Siamo by Marisa Minicucci, Marie Saint Pierre, Michel Desjardins, Morales, Muse by Christian Chenail, Mylène B., Rush Couture and others. Special events are also planned.
To ensure programming of the highest quality, organizers called on a selection committee consisting of industry professionals: Azamit, styliste, Conrad Nadeau, stylist, Glen Baxter, journalist, Fashion Television, and Christiane Audet, Buying Manager, the Fashion Group at Ogilvy.
This committee's key evaluation criteria related to creativity, originality, the quality and choice of materials, the quality of production and quality of the cut.
