Eastern Railways gives green signal to Dollar Express

Bhawani Textiles, a Kolkata based hosiery product manufacturer, has signed an agreement with the Eastern Railways for advertising its Dollar brand through the Howrah-Delhi Express train. This special super-fast train will make 22 trips during the festive season, simultaneously promoting the brand.
Mr Vinod Gupta, Managing Director of Bhawani Textiles Ltd, announced this after the Howrah-Delhi Dollar Express commenced its trip on October 13.
This kind of promotional strategy was under taken to effectively familiarize the product to the masses. Mr Gupta also asserted that the concept of a branded train would further the cause of bringing Dollar brand into prominence.
Mr Jayanta Kumar Saha, Aditional Divisional Manager of Eastern Railway flagged the Dollar Express train, which will run every Saturday and Wednesday till November 17. Comprising 20 coaches, the Howrah-Delhi Dollar Express is the second branded train after Bangalore-Nagarkar Kurkure Express.
