KN reaches settlement with JD Fine & Mervyn's

KN Ltd and San Francisco Network have settled a copyright and trade dress infringement dispute with competing clothing manufacturer J.D. Fine & Company and retailer Mervyn's LLC.
The settlement concludes a federal court action brought by KN and San Francisco Network (KN Ltd. and San Francisco Network, Plaintiffs, v. JDFine & Company, Jamie Finegold, and Mervyn's LLC, Defendants, Case No. 06-4189 CRB) concerning now-discontinued women's sleepwear sold by Mervyn's under the brand name "Country Garden."
The lawsuit alleged the defendants had infringed copyrights and trade dress rights of the KN Karen Neuburger brand by using certain designs and styles on the "Country Garden" women's sleepwear manufactured by J.D. Fine. Defendants denied all allegations of wrongdoing. The terms of the settlement are confidential.
