Coach, Inc., a leading New York design house of modern luxury accessories and lifestyle brands, has tied up with Genesis Luxury Fashion Pvt Ltd, India's pioneering fashion conglomerate for marketing and distribution of international luxury brands, for its entry into India.

The debut of Coach's first store in India is timed to coincide with its 75th anniversary this year, Genesis said in a press release.

“We are extremely pleased to bring the much awaited iconic American brand, Coach, to India this year. Coach is a strong addition to the Genesis portfolio and we are confident that the brand's commitment to heritage and innovative design will be warmly embraced by the growing Indian luxury consumer innately drawn to craftsmanship. Coach has tremendous potential in our market, and with our shared vision and well-defined strategies, we are focused on accelerating the retail presence and brand visibility in India across key Metros in the next few years," said Sanjay Kapoor, Managing Director, Genesis Luxury.

Ian Bickley, President, International Group for Coach, added, “We are thrilled to be partnering with Genesis Luxury to bring Coach, America's Original House of Leather, to India. We're confident that our modern luxury store environment, showcasing Coach's rich heritage and commitment to craftsmanship, along with creations designed by Stuart Vevers, will be embraced and coveted by the fashionable Indian consumer.”

Genesis also has marketing and distribution agreements with a range of luxury brands such as Burberry, Giorgio Armani, Hugo Boss, Jimmy Choo and Michael Kors among others. (SH)
