In Dubai Shopping Festival 2006/2007, retail jewellery sales reached new heights after trade worth AED1 billion, a hike of 25 percent more than the anticipated figure.
This is probably the result of new promotion campaigns, which include daily gifts of one kilogram of gold, DSF diamond pendant and customer rating for services provided.
Business achieved a year-on-year increase of 56 percent and 30 percent of it was result of extra days of promotion and festival during holiday season.
In DSF promotion, more than 350 participating outlets will follow Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group's lead and donate five percent of the event's proceeds to charity.
