Beijing Olympic Organizational Council discusses apparel design

For the Beijing Olympic Games Organizational Council, countdown for 8/8/08 had already begun from July 13, 2001 at the 112th IOC Session in Moscow, when Beijing was elected the Host City for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad in 2008.
Now the Council is much busy on discussing the relay center logo and apparel design theme of Beijing Olympic Games' torch.
The relay center logo is the basic element as it will be used in torch relay uniform, motorcade decoration, publicity materials, website, flag and so on. The theme of relay center logo's design is “harmonious”.
The torch relay uniform is an important part of torch relay sight. It can inspire people's passion, build environmental atmosphere, celebration atmosphere in the country, and boost up the pride of torchbearer athletes.
During the discussion Council pointed out that torch relay apparel must take “harmonious” as design idea, which reflects Chinese culture.
