Be on the watch for fashion tycoon Darius Wobil

Darius Wobil, designer of Saint Wobil, will exhibit his newest collection at Africa Fashion Week New York produced by Adirée. AFWNY will take place July 14th, 15th and 16th at the Broad Street Ballroom in New York City's financial district.

More and more, African models, such as Nyasha Matonhodze, are gracing the pages of fashion magazines. Nyasha, a 16-year-old model from Zimbabwe is the new face of Louis Vuitton and is currently on the cover of the July 2011 edition of Elle Canada. As a son of a supermodel, Darius carries his mother's love of fashion and extends it to designing for models around the world.

Wobil embrace the iconic features of Alexander Mcqueen along with a tinge of flamboyance to create a line that magnetic. He merges New York's metropolitan style with European charm to create sophisticated design and the feel of royalty. Saint Wobil will showcase on Saturday, July 16th.

AFWNY includes runway shows hosting 21+ designers from various countries in Africa and those of the African Diaspora, exhibitions, and industry networking events. Opening designer Korto Momolu and designers like Washington Roberts, Saint Wobil, AAMAA Couture, Bill Witherspoon and others will showcase.

Designer Darius E. Wobil was born on March 25th 1983 in Buffalo, New York. He knew from childhood that he had a passion for sewing and would one day plan on making a living from it. With both parents involved in the arts and in fashion, Wobil was picking out fabrics from the tender age of two. Wobil's work has graced the covers and editorial pages of Italian Vogue, Requin, Epic, Noir Couture, Urban Socialites, UCE. SAINT WOBIL will be creating a life style for the fashion conscious.
